On what was probably the hottest day ever on a 5th of September, the new BELRIM members met at the picturesque Castle of Huizingen for an informal dinner with the board members.
The evening started with a glass of bubbles on the terrace and continued with a convivial meal that was interspersed with 3 presentations. Gaëtan Lefèvre, BELRIM President, gave a brief overview of the association’s purpose and vision, Julie Vandenhouweele showed the first results of her survey into the approach of young risk professionals and Véronique De Hertogh promoted the FERMA Forum of Maastricht.
The new members had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves.
On this occasion we were delighted to welcome: Julien Rouaud of Allnex, Ann Cremers of Aon Benfield, Geert Maes of Barco, Bart Smets of Eurofins Scientific Group, Harald Rauw of HDI Gerling, Filip Callens of Indaver, Marijke Yserbijt of International SOS, Françoise Lefèvre, Philippe Beco and Nicolas Resimont of Linklaters LLP, Carine Gelens of PSA Antwerpen, Peter Van Santen of RSA Insurance, France Delobbe of SNCB Holding and Jeroen Weurding of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Last but not least, two former BELRIM Presidents attended the event: Pierre Cambier of Nationale Suisse and Marc Mathijsen of Argenta. The latter was the lucky winner of the competition connected to the Risk Manager’s Career Path Survey and received a Bongo voucher.
The BELRIM board thanks the new members for their presence and hopes to meet them at many of the BELRIM events.
